AHF Regular Congress Simultaneously with the Arab Health
Ministers Council.
After 5 extremely successful annual forums, the Arab Hospitals
Federation announces its Regular Council to be held on March
5-6, 2008 in Sheraton Sharm Hotel, Resort & Villas -
Sharm El Sheikh - Egypt coincident with the Arab Ministers
of Health Council under the Patronage of the HE Mr. Amro
Moussa General Secretary of the League of Arab States and
in collaboration with the League of Arab States, World Health
Organization, Executive Board of the Arab Ministers of Health
Council, Executive Board of the Arab Ministers of Health
Council in GCC, the Arab League for Quality Health Services
and many other local and regional healthcare organizations.
This event is a unique one in relation to its date as it
coincides with the Arab Ministers of Health Council where
22 ministers of health from 22 Arab Countries as well as
key decision makers and policy makers will be present and
will participate in this extraordinary congress.
The Conference will begin on March 4 in the presence of
the Arab Ministers of Health followed by a cocktail reception
and opening of the exhibition area.
The main theme of the event is the implementation of the
Quality Standards in Arab Healthcare with a stress on the
Arab Project for the Accreditation launched by the Arab
Ministers of Health Council and its pilot application in
some Arab Countries.
On the second day, a protocol of collaboration will be signed
between the WHO and the AHF followed by a cocktail reception.
Alongside the conference, a specialized medical exhibition
will regroup major companies and health institutions from
different Arab Countries Egypt, UAE, KSA, Jordan, Lebanon
and Germany.
The event will be gathering in addition to the Ministers
of Health from the Arab Countries, High level staff from
the Ministries of Health, CEOs , managers and directors
from the healthcare institutions and representatives from
local regional and international organizations.

The technical Committee of the Quality Standards in Healthcare
institutions held its meeting on July 25-27, 2006 in Cairo.
During this meeting, a draft for the improvement of Healthcare
quality standards through Accreditation has been issued.
As well the tools for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations
have been agreed on.
