Who
Are we
The Arab Hospitals Federation was established in Lebanon under
regulation Article No 36/AD on the 30th of March 2002.
It is an independent non-political and non-profit organization
supported by the subscription of its members in the Arab countries.
With
members from 22 Arab Countries, it forms a center for the
exchange of ideas in healthcare management, policies and
services.
It is supported by the Arab Ministries of Health, the League
of the Arab States, the World Health Organization, the ESCWA,
the International Hospital Federation, and the World Bank.
Its
members are mainly Hospitals, Medical Centers and other
institutions related to the Healthcare Sector in the Arab
countries in both the private and public sector, in addition
to all organizations directly connected with the provision
of health care.

we aim to do
Our aim is to improve the Healthcare Sector in the Arab
World, achieve a high quality service for all the Arab patients,
cooperate in the exchange of experience and technologies
necessary for the development of the research sector, and
promote the Health Tourism in the Arab Countries

Dear
Sirs,
It is with great pleasure that we announce the establishment
of the Arab Hospitals Federation. This Federation gathers
Hospitals, Polyclinics, Medical centers from 22 Arab Countries.
It has a main office in Lebanon with representative committees
in different Arab Countries.
The
aim of this Federation is to promote the networking between
the Health institutions affiliated and provide solutions
for the challenges facing the Healthcare Sector.
We
invite every institution that wants to make a difference
in the Arab Healthcare Sector to join us because "Together
we reach our Goals", Hand in hand we face the future
in order to develop our institutions and offer a high quality
service for the Arab community.

AHF Workplan
The AHF has launched its work plan
that aims to develop the Arab Healthcare Sector.
1. Meeting with Decision Makers in Health Sector in each
Arab Country aiming to:
- Continuous communication with the affiliated Health Institution
- Encourage non-affiliated Institutions to be members
2. Working with the League of Arab States to get an official
Arab aspect to support the Health Sector.
3. Cooperating Agreement between the Federation and all
the Local & International Federations related to the
Health & Medical Field.
4. Setting a scheduled calendar for AHF Projects
Educational Projects:
a. Setting cooperation studies to prepare a Continuous Education
Program for affiliated institutions.
b. Setting intensive Continuous Educational Program for
the head of medical departments in the Health Institutions.
c. Issuing the “Arab Hospitals Magazine" allowing
the networking and cooperation and encouraging the exchange
and publication of the latest innovations in the Health
sector.
d. Transferring the yearly “MedHealth” to an
Arab Health Summit gathering all Health Decision Makers
and Key Active people in the Health Industry.
e. Nominating an educational committee to study and follow
up the educational projects mentioned in this plan, and
a media committee responsible for the content of the Federation
Magazine.
General Projects:
a. Adoption of the ACCREDITATION system in the Arab Hospitals
that aims to develop the quality of the health services
by concluding a contract with an international team to set
the standards to be applied as per the international systems.
b. Preparation of the project “Management Crisis Council”
that allows us to act according to the circumstances in
any Arab Country.
c. Contribution in establishing the Organ Bank for all the
Arab countries.
d. Contribution with the involved parties in setting the
Arab “Carte Sanitaire” (Health Map) to organize
the Healthcare Sector.
e. Conclusion of Health Agreement between Arab Countries.
f. Preparation for launching a health and medical award
for the distinguished, creative people and contributors
in developing the Healthcare Sector.
g. Nomination of an economic committee that helps in setting
a financial plan for executing the proposed Health Projects.
Health Information Technology projects:
a. Activate AHF Website
b. Unify the IT language in the Arab Health Sector.
c. Create the Arab Health Card that stores the medical records
of every patient.
d. Form a Unified Central Purchasing System for the AHF
members in order to get better prices.
e. Adopt a Purchase Unit Exchange, which will give the opportunity
to sale and renew the equipments among the AHF members.
f. Create an Information Network for the Arab Doctors to
exchange consultations & expertise to fill the patient’s
needs.
Other Projects:
a. Preparation of “Drug Reference of the Arab World”
that includes information about all the trade names, Generics
& active ingredients of medicines either fabricated
locally or imported and marketed in the Arab Countries
b. Establishment of a Database Source for the Arab Doctors
working in the Arab World and abroad. This information will
help the Health Sector to benefit from the medical Arab
competencies and allow the Arab Doctors to show their expertise
